Treasuring God Above All Else [Gathered Worship]
We seek our worship to be Christ-centered (The person and redeeming work of Jesus as the centerpiece), God-exalting (An intentional focus that starts and ends with the Triune God), and Gospel-shaped (A participation in and rehearsal of God’s redemption story in Jesus Christ). We will do this as we attend to God’s means of grace (word, sacrament, and prayer) to His church in such a way that roots us in the historic Christian faith with a vibrant application and expression for today. We want our gathered, public worship to be a place where both the convinced and unconvinced can be encouraged and challenged by the good news of the gospel.

Treasuring God with One Another [Honest Community]
We seek our community to grow together in the wonder of the gospel. As the gospel takes root in our hearts, we seek for our church community to be a place where the wonders of Christ and the power of the gospel to both be heard and seen with and through one another. We strive for our community to be person-oriented and united through the gospel, the redeeming work of Jesus. We desire our church community to be a place where people from all walks of life (age, race, ethnicity, culture, socio-economic, etc.) can be united together in Christ as friend and family. Our church community will be a space where grace and truth are displayed for all and a place to wrestle with the deep questions of life and faith. Through the gospel, our community will model honesty with one another, humility in all we do, and honor towards one another. Much more than simply gathering together, our communities will be marked with deep care, grace, and compassion.

Treasuring God Among our Neighbors [Hospitable Mercy]
We seek to extend our lives intentionally and invitingly to all with gospel love. Since relationships and trust in our city take time to build, we will seek to do this simply through faithful presence, radical hospitality, and practical mercy. We seek to carry all of this out in prayerful dependence on God. We seek to love our city and see her flourish through the gospel because God loves our city. This means that we will seek city partnerships with like-minded, gospel-centered ministries as we co-labor for the sake of Christ. As we prayerfully dream for the future, we will be a church that is committed to the planting of more churches for the sake of the gospel to bear more fruit to the ends of the earth.

Treasuring God in All of Life [Holistic Discipleship]
We seek to be holistic followers of Jesus. We desire to see people walk in the way of Christ in all of life. We desire to be followers of Jesus who are characterized by grace, truth, compassion, and service in whatever we do. We want to equip all of God’s people to use their unique talents, gifts, and passions to the glory of God in the unique places and seasons He places us, both inside and outside the church. We see this happening as God’s people are faithfully engaged regularly in gathered worship, honest community groups, and living with gospel love toward all people. We envision life-on-life discipleship to be the primary way we stir one another up in faith, hope, and love. Following Jesus is not a short journey but is a lifelong process together, so we will pursue being made more like Christ together with patience, grace, and hope.
TREASURING
GOD
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

In Summary,
We believe that the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and inerrant in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe that there is one true and living God, who exists eternally in three persons (Trinity): God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, same in substance, equal in power and glory. He is the creator and sustainer of all things.
We believe that all are sinners and have fallen short of God’s glory. We are unable to save ourselves from God’s righteous judgment and displeasure, except by His mercy.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who by His perfect life and sacrificial death has atoned for the sins of all who wholly trust in Him alone for salvation.
We believe that salvation is a gift by God’s free grace and not earned by our merits. Salvation is by God alone, who sovereignly chooses those He will save based on His grace alone and not on our works, merit, or foreseen faith.
We believe that God saves individuals into a people group for Himself called the Church, of whom Christ is the head. The Church is not a building but a people. It is these people that the Bible refers to as Christ’s bride and His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all. The Church and its work are the most significant thing happening in the world today.
We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His covenant promises.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells in all believers and gives strength, wisdom, and joy in trusting and following Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return, both bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and receive His people for Himself.
A fuller explanation of our beliefs can be found in the Westminster Confession of Faith (1646)
